| The National Organization for Women is recognized as a leader in women's fight for political justice. [Chapter Name] was founded in outrage and continues to draw members dedicated to having an impact on policies and attitudes that are harmful to women. Because we believe that the personal is indeed political, we have joined NOW to do the work of changing our society at the political level, working to counter problems at the source in order to prevent the victimization of more women. To this end, [Chapter Name]'s goals are to educate, organize, and make change NOW. |

However, because we hear from many women who are in crisis situations, and because we recognize the enormous and immediate personal needs of the women in our community, we also seek to provide referrals to those agencies and organizations that can help you now. |
