Have Feminist News Delivered to You or Your Web Site
November 28, 2005
Looking for an easy way to stay up to date with feminist news? Do you have a web site or blog that you'd like to freshen up with action alerts or headlines from NOW?
Use the new RSS feeds from NOW! RSS, or Real Simple Syndication, feeds are comprised of the latest news from NOW. You can view a feed with all of our stories, or feeds divided into such categories as action alerts, press releases or the popular Below the Belt columns by NOW president Kim Gandy. We may add new feeds in the future as well. Take a look at our samples on our RSS page.
You can read these feeds with a web-based or desktop reader or even email. These readers will grab the feed from this site (or others) and give you a short summary of any new postings that are available. You can add feeds from other sites that have a link that says XML or RSS.
Popular web-based readers include My Yahoo! and Google's home page and Bloglines. You can find a more complete list of readers at dmoz.org, including sites that send you RSS feeds by email.
Chapters and other web site editors: Add NOW's RSS feeds to your web sites to keep your own site current automatically. If you plan to use only one feed, a good all-in-one PHP script is available from feedforall.com. Or you can convert an RSS feed to Javascript on this website. If you plan to add several RSS feeds, take a look at magpieRSS.
