"The National Organization for Women (NOW) wants to stamp out harassment and discrimination in the U.S. Postal Service," said NOW Action Vice President Loretta Kane, announcing plans to protest outside the National Postal Museum. "While postal workers comprise less than a third of the federal workforce, they file half of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) complaints. Those numbers add up to a workplace fraught with discrimination."

"We challenge Postmaster General William Henderson to deliver a women-friendly workplace to U.S. Postal Service employees," Kane said. "As postal workers labor to deliver holiday greetings and gifts, NOW will work to let consumers know that they may be supporting a hostile workplace with every stamp they purchase."
