This appearance is part of a week-long, statewide blitz by Ireland to launch NOW's 1996 Equality Countdown Campaign, including NOW's Fight the Right March set for April 14 in San Francisco.

Ireland's California tour includes participation in an affirmative action forum sponsored by San Francisco NOW on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Francisco, 1187 Franklin (at Geary). On Sunday, she will serve as a key panelist during the closing plenary of the National Asian Women's Health Organization's conference at 9 a.m. at the Miyako Hotel in San Francisco. The topic is women's health and the recent World Conference on Women.
