ends its long march from Sacramento at the Republican convention protest site,with a final rally set for 5:30 p.m. there.

THE GENDER GAP IS GLOBAL NEWS CONFERENCE

NOW's Ireland leads a news conference on global women's issues; participants will include representatives of NOW, Planned Parenthood and the United Nations addressing violence against women and affirmative action, international family planning and issues arising from last year's U.N. Conference on Women in Beijing.

VOICES FOR JUSTICE COALITION RALLY

draws together a wide range of progressive groups, including NOW, who have many common concerns about the way the Republican agenda kowtows to religious and political extremists. The rally ends with a candlelight vigil.
