WHY : To discuss the Sugar Bowl Committee's practice of excluding women from its membership.

"Sugar Bowl Committee membership is a sweet deal -- for men that is," Ireland said. "The men obviously savor the power and prestige that comes with bowl membership, and they have consistently voted to exclude women. "With the national debate on affirmative action raging, here in New Orleans we're still trying to end gender segregation on the Sugar Bowl Committee."
