It's not over yet! NOW activists and staff will be working until the polls close on Tuesday night. Please join us in the final push by supporting our grassroots efforts with a contribution for victory.

Like many of us, I know you will be working the phones or the polls, or have given generously to campaigns throughout the year, because you know what's at stake for women in this election. But with the election less than a week away, you also know that these last few days are critical.

The NOW PAC is supporting many fine candidates, and NOW is working hard to get out the women's rights vote. Registration numbers are at an all time high, but we have to make sure these numbers mean the highest turnout possible on Election Day. That is what counts. In addition to voter mobilization, we are also working to help educate voters on some key ballot initiatives that are critical to women's equality.

Some quick highlights:

• In California, anti-abortion forces, heavily funded by the Knights of Columbus, are trying for the third time to pass a "parental involvement" law which will endanger young women who have unwanted pregnancies;
• In Florida, a ban on marriage for gay and lesbian couples is on the ballot, so sloppily written that it will even affect the contractual arrangements that heterosexual couples make in order to care for each other;
• In Colorado, a constitutional amendment defines a fertilized egg as a person with all the legal rights and protections of any person under the law.

We're raising money, paying on-the-ground field staff and running phone banks as part of our GOTV efforts and to combat these dangerous ballot measures.
