Thank you so much to those of you who instantly responded to our appeal for support for our grassroots campaign targeted at anti-women, anti-abortion members of Congress in their home states and districts. Your money is going directly to this effort.

The tragic fact is that Senator Boxer was not able to garner the 41 Senate votes for our side to mount a filibuster against the dangerous and misleadingly named "partial-birth" abortion procedures ban. Please let your Senators know that you are deeply disappointed in those who voted YES and appreciate the courage of those who voted NO.

Because our next efforts must be at the grassroots level, we are enhancing our technical and communications networks so we can reach more women in targeted states and Congressional districts to make sure they know about the threat to girls' and women's reproductive lives. And we're hiring field organizers to build our voter education and mobilization drive to hold the politicians accountable and defeat the incumbents who have so little regard for our rights and choices. This would not be possible without the support of many dedicated supporters just like you.

For those of you who still want to help, there is more to do. We hope organize activist trainings in 8 more states and work with our local allies in a huge voter mobilization effort that will involve every NOW member and supporter and also reach out to the thousands of pro-choice voters who are disaffected or uninformed.

Please consider making a contribution today so that we can continue increasing this campaign – better yet, consider an ongoing monthly gift of $25, $50, or even $10, that will give us a predictable source of organizing funds, so we can continue to grow this mobilization with confidence.
