Where can women turn for justice today?
Try this Bronx veteran.
Equality and justice are words that come naturally to 79-year-old Geraldine
Miller. And she's dedicated the better part of a quarter century
to making sure those words are applied meaningfully to all people, but
most especially to women. She's fought for (and won) minimum wage
protection for household workers. She is past president of the National
Congress of Neighborhood Women. A long time and frequently awarded
member of NOW, she was the first chair of NOW's "Women of Color" task force.
Geraldine has always formed her own (strong) opinions. Fortunately
for us, fighting prejudice was one of them.
