National NOW Officer Elections: Call for Nominations

National NOW Officer Elections will take place at the National NOW Conference, June 19-21, 2009. As called for in the NOW Bylaws, a team of four candidates is elected every four years to the offices of President, Executive Vice President, Action Vice President and Membership Vice President.

Teams wishing to have information about their platform and candidates printed in the National NOW Times should send the name and state of each team member and the contact information (email, phone, address) of a point person on the team, as soon as possible to:

Each slate submitted to the Nominating Committee must contain a nomination for every officer position. In order to be qualified, each candidate must have been a member of NOW for at least four years immediately prior to the election and shall have served at least one year as a chapter or state officer or National Board member.

Nominations are due no later than Feb. 27, 2009. Once eligibility is confirmed, the Nominating Committee will provide teams with a uniform template for submitting ticket information for publication. Complete ticket information (including candidate profiles/statements and team platform) is due March 27, 2009, for inclusion in the pre-conference National NOW Times.

Additional nominations for officer tickets will be taken from the floor of the conference.
