Conference Hotel
The 2003 NOW National Conference will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel Crystal City in Arlington, Va., just outside of Washington, D.C. All conference events will be on-site at the DoubleTree.
Room rates: When you call the hotel to reserve a room (1-800-222-8733), identify yourself with NOW to receive the conference rate of $99/night (single/double) and $109/night (triple/quad). Located at 300 Army Navy Drive in Arlington, Va., the hotel has more than 25,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. The rooms are soundproof, well lit and conveniently located throughout the hotel. There are 13 accessible rooms, as well as 461 nonsmoking rooms. The hotel has a lobby bar with a large-screen TV, a revolving rooftop lounge with a view of the nation's monuments, and three restaurants: The Cafe, Cafe Express and Windows Over Washington, which has spectacular views of Washington D.C. skyline.
Air: Washington National Airport (DCA) is conveniently located two miles from the conference hotel. The two other airports in the Washington metropolitan area are Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), about a 35-minute drive from the hotel, and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), about a 45-minute drive from the hotel. Airport Transportation: The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to and from Washington National Airport (DCA). Public Transportation: The Pentagon City Metro stop is conveniently located just a few blocks away from the conference hotel. Additionally, the hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the nearby Metro stops at Crystal City, Pentagon City and the Pentagon. All of the Washington D.C. attractions are easily accessible by Metro.
Parking: The Doubletree Hotel Crystal City offers daily, overnight and valet parking, managed by Towne Park. The parking rate is $12/day.
The hotel is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. NOW is committed to making this conference as accessible as possible. ASL interpreters will be provided at general sessions, though sign interpretation for workshops, special constituency caucuses and/or issue hearings must be requested in advance. On-site childcare is provided during this conference free of charge if requested in advance. We contract with experienced, licensed providers. Childcare is offered during all scheduled conference events, including entertainment. NOW has a practice of providing cost-free childcare at our annual conferences, special summits and board meetings. In order to adequately prepare for childcare, we must receive pre-notification of childcare needs. Meals are not provided; parents/guardians must pick up their children to provide lunch and dinner.
