ONLY ONE PAC SUPPORTS CANDIDATES THAT WILL WORK FOR THE FULL RANGE OF WOMEN'S RIGHTS

The NOW PACs

"When I ran for the U.S. Senate back in 1992, NOW was the only organization to support [me] from the beginning. When others were looking at poll numbers, NOW/PAC was looking at the content of my candidacy...and with the power of its grassroots statewide network, became the field organization that made my victory possible."

- Senator Carol Moseley Braun, D-Ill,
the first African American woman elected to the U.S. Senate

We wish there were more PACs with a full feminist agenda. Some progressive PACs focus on one or two areas of social justice. Their candidates may support abortion rights but might oppose lesbian rights. Or vice-versa. And we all know that right-wing PACs are flooding the country with donations to encourage our candidates to move away from "controversial" issues.

We all have an important role to play. We applaud the work of our sister PACs who have given support to feminist candidates. But there is only one player that spends every dollar on the full feminist agenda: the NOW PACs. We rely exclusively on individual donors to support candidates, train field organizers, conduct issues education and recruit feminist candidates. The Victory 2000 campaign aims to elect 2,000 feminists to office by the year 2000. Won't you help us fill the pipeline?
