Celebrating 40 Years of NOW in Albany, N.Y.

Come celebrate NOW's 40th Anniversary with us in Albany, N.Y. The 2006 conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Albany City Center July 21-23, beginning with a kickoff on the evening of Thursday, July 20. You will find amazing workshops, inspiring speakers, and outstanding entertainers.

The Conference will include a Young Feminist Summit on Friday, featuring issues and speakers of particular interest to young activists.

The Conference will also be devising strategies and actions on campuses and in communities to fight the radical right, including organizing for the 2006 and 2008 elections. Seldom has there been a more important time politically for NOW activists to gather at a National Conference. Your participation in this event is crucial to the advancement of women's rights.

Arrive early and stay late to enjoy New York’s capital city. Albany offers visitors great sightseeing adventures. You can visit America's first Shaker settlement, view the art collection at Empire State Plaza, cruise the Hudson River, tour historic homes, or take a walk on the Hudson River Way Pedestrian Bridge and dine al fresco downtown.New York is full of women’s history, from Sybil Ludington to Grandma Moses. Take a trip to Rochester and Seneca Falls to walk in the footsteps of Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Lucretia Mott. Seneca Falls is also the home of the National Women's Hall of Fame and the Women’s Rights National Historic Park.
