Facts Overthrow Fear: Highlights from the Proposition 8 Decision

As I'm sure you've heard by now, Proposition 8 has been declared unconstitutional! While the ruling will be appealed, perhaps as far as the United States Supreme Court, this decision is still a huge achievement in the fight for marriage equality. The decision of Judge Vaughn Walker is particularly noteworthy because it so definitively nullifies the main arguments against same-sex marriage. "Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gays and lesbians for denial of a marriage license."
