WOMEN OF COLOR AND ALLIES SUMMIT A SPECTACULAR SUCCESS

Hundreds of activists and leaders from across the country gathered for the Women of Color and Allies Summit organized by NOW Foundation. TAKE ACTION: STOP FDA FOLLY ON BREAST IMPLANTS

OREGON SUPREME COURT INVALIDATES THOUSANDS OF SAME-SEX MARRIAGES

"This ruling reinforces the discrimination that exists in Oregon for same-sex couples," said NOW Action Vice President Olga Vives. "Equality should be afforded to all people, regardless of their sexual orientation." Read more

FOE OF WOMEN'S RIGHTS HEADED FOR NATION'S SECOND HIGHEST COURT

On April 14 the Senate Judiciary Committee approved the nomination of Thomas Griffith—an opponent of women's equality—for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. His approval by the full Senate appears likely. Read more

    IN MEMORIAM: ANDREA DWORKIN

    Andrea Dworkin, internationally renowned radical feminist activist and author who helped break the silence around violence against women, died in her home on April 9 at the age of fifty-eight, after an illness. She was a longtime member of NOW. Read more
