Delegates to the National NOW Conference in Las Vegas
converged at a Wal-Mart superstore to protest discrimination at
the country's largest employer.

Hundreds of feminists gathered at the National NOW Conference in
Las Vegas last weekend to strategize and plan for the November elections. "We will not go back to a time when women were second-class citizens,"
said NOW President Kim Gandy, addressing attendees of the 2004 National
NOW Conference in Las Vegas.
"We've come too far. It is time to move forward and elect a president
who will stand up for women."
