NOW PRESIDENT KIM GANDY URGES APPROVAL OF EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION FOR OVER-THE-COUNTER USE
 "An estimated one half of unintended pregnancies and abortions could be prevented each year through wider use of emergency contraception," said NOW President Kim Gandy, testifying at last week's FDA hearing on emergency contraception. Two advisory panels recommended in a 23-4 vote that emergency contraception be made available over the counter. Read more
