As An Ohio Voter, You Are Key

Ohio, with its 20 Electoral College votes, continues to be a classic swing state. George W. Bush carried it in both 2000 and 2004, but Democrat Bill Clinton won Ohio in the two previous presidential elections. NOW PAC endorsed the Obama/Biden ticket and we hope that Ohio voters will elect the ticket that will do more for women and families.

DEADLINE TODAY: In order to contribute to this historic election, make sure you are registered to vote. The deadline is today October 6! If you are already registered, check out our voter resources.

Vote Now! Early voting opened on September 30. You can vote now and then volunteer on election day!

In 2006, Ohio voters elected Democratic Governor and Secretary of State, sent a Democrat to the U.S. Senate, and sent a new Democratic to the U.S. House. This year, Ohio voters have the exciting potential to send four new women to Congress who are committed to NOW's mission. Read more about these feminist candidates and how you can help them win.

Obama-Biden: The Ticket For Women

Why Obama? For more than a decade, Barack Obama has said "yes" to women's rights, while John McCain has consistently said "no" -- NO to pay equity, NO to contraceptive access and reproductive rights, NO to appointing Supreme Court judges who will uphold women's rights and civil rights, NO to funding shelters and other anti-violence programs, and NO to supporting working moms and dads with policies that support work/life balance.

We join with Sen. Hillary Clinton in saying "NO" -- No Way, No How, No McCain! And we proudly stand arm-in-arm with her in putting our hopes and our dreams, our hard work behind the next President of the United States -- Barack Obama, and his running mate, longtime friend and ally of women, Sen. Joe Biden.

Read NOW PAC's analysis about where Obama stands on the issues.

How YOU Can Get Involved!

  • Barack Obama and Joe Biden have great resources on their website, including helpful guides on how to talk to your neighbors about the issues, flyers, and how to find your nearest campaign office.
