All NOW Actions More about Mothers and Caregivers Economic Rights		Honor The Mothers and Caregivers in Your Life Give Mom Economic Justice for Mother's Day 2006 Join with NOW this Mother's Day 2006 by celebrating all of the hard work our nation's caregivers do. Send an E-Card, "Every Mother is A Working Mother," to the caregiver in your life. NOW coined that phrase decades ago and it still says it all! Unpaid and underpaid mothering and caregiving work is real work that should be valued and respected with cards, flowers AND the economic benefits of the marketplace. Sign the Pledge for NOW's "Mothers Matter, Caregivers Count" campaign, where we can combine our voices and votes in a statement of basic principles and support for policies and programs that recognize and reward the value of caregiving. Take action. Support the Family and Workplace Balancing Act, H.R. 1589. Because the personal is political, ask your Congressional Representative to sponsor this important legislation that will make our work and family obligations easier to balance. Honor Mom or another special woman who has made a difference in your life or the lives of others. Make a gift in her honor to support NOW?s work for mothers and caregivers.
