All NOW Actions Women's Campaign to Defeat Alito		Take Action to Defeat Alito Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), a long-time supporter of abortion rights, is preparing to chair the U.S. Senate Judiciary hearing on the nomination of Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court. As chair of the committee, Senator Specter has a key role in the process that will ultimately determine if Alito is confirmed. The Senator needs to hear your call that he act to protect the lives and rights of women. NOW is joining with a coalition of organizations to gather one million signatures to be delivered to Senator Specter by January 6. Activists from our Philadelphia chapter will be delivering these petitions personally to the Senator. Please sign on to be part of this effort to protect women?s rights.
