Voting Rights March ? D.C. Emancipation Day

Join D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty, Chairman Vincent Gray, Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, Representative Tom Davis, and Secretary Jack Kemp in the Voting Rights March on D.C. Emancipation Day.

NOW activists will join march organizers and continue our call for the U.S. Congress to give voting rights to the residents of the District of Columbia. NOW members passed a conference resolution in 1978 advocating for representation for D.C. residents.

When:	Monday, April 16th, 2:30 p.m
Where:	Gather at Freedom Plaza, Pennsylvania Ave. between 13th and 14th Streets and march to the Capitol
What:	March at 2:30 p.m. Rally at 4:00 p.m. at the Capitol reflecting pool Reception immediately following to "Push the Senate" in Room 50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Constitution Avenue and First Street, NE

The struggle for human rights must include the right of all of us to be represented equally in the halls of Congress. Join together to raise your voices in the call for justice and democracy in our nation's capitol and for our nation's capital.
