Hello Activists!
Just want to remind you that on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, NOW and CODEPINK will host Women's Call for Peace, a day of workshops, speakers, and action at Camp Democracy, a non-partisan camp for peace on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
NOW and CODEPINK are working together to end violence in the Middle East and around the world. Please join us on September 20 to hear from Kim Gandy, Medea Benjamin, Howard Zinn, Col. Ann Wright, Phyllis Bennis, Olga Vives, Sarah Rich, and other leaders in today's movement for peace. Come participate in workshops on how to end violence in Iraq, on what you can do for women in Juarez, and much more. You won't want to miss the Military Women Speak Out, as well as the activist trainings and action that will be ongoing throughout the day. Our Call For Peace Day will end with a march from Camp Democracy to the E Street theater, where we'll watch the film premier of US vs. John Lennon.
Join us for the whole day, just for the lunch workshop on Juarez with NOW's Olga Vives, or for music and action in the evening! We hope to see you there. Please visit www.now.org for more information.
