Schedule of Events
NOW activists will be gathering everyday to protest the nomination of
John Roberts to be the Chief
Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Bring signs! Check out the themes for
each afternoon protest! If you want to attend the hearing, each day you should
line up by 6:30 AM to get a ticket.
Monday, September 12 Schedule of Events
(Meet on C Street, between Delaware and 1st Streets, NE)
What: Dawn Vigil
When: 5:30 AM -9:30 AM
Bring flashlights, signs and friends!
What: "What is Bush Hiding" Lunchtime Visibility
When: 11:00 AM -12:00 noon
Bring your empty boxes and signs and let's demand the rest of the documents!
Tuesday, September 13 - Friday, September 16 Daily Events
(Meet behind Senate Hart Office Building on C Street, between 1st and 2nd Streets, NE)
What: Morning Visibility Every Morning 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
What: Lunchtime Visibility Themed Events Every Afternoon 12 noon-1:30 PM
Tuesday: "Save Title IX"
Come in your sports gear, college T-shirts or sweatshirts, and bring lots of signs!
Wednesday: "Demand Pay Equity" Visibility
Bring cookies, brownies, etc. for our mock bake sale! We'll have a booth with signs "selling" goodies- $1 for men and 76 cents for women! And as always, bring signs!
Thursday: "Save Reproductive Rights" Visibility
Come barefoot and pregnant (if you're not pregnant, a pillow works!), bring caution tape, hangers, and lots of signs!
Friday: "Civil Rights" Visibility
