Bud Davis Cadillac a/k/a Cadillac of Memphis

I was employed at this company for almost seven years. I
had worked with eight different managers...until this one.
He was hired while I was on maternity leave and his wife
was also employed in the same department. She did not like
me and after pressing him about it, the harrassment began.
He proceded to make me look like I was not doing my job,
overloading me with work, and making rude comments about me
to fellow workers. I went through all the proper complaint
procedures and still got fired. I have witnesses and papers
as some proof. I was told I have to go through the EEOC,
which I have. The personel there don't even talk to me.
I filed in November, and in June, it is still (so I'm told)
under investigation. I was not offered mediation. They
started off in telling me it would be done in 180 days.
Now, theyre telling me, they don't have to do that, it was
just a guideline....
So, another lady, Helpless In El Paso, is right! EEOC has
probably thrown my case out too and since we don't have
money to hire an attorney, the big corporations get away
with whatever they want. Also, keep in mind that Tenn.
where I live is also a Right To Work state. Summed up, that
means they can fire you for whatever made-up reason they
wish! The laws do not support poor employees, let alone
harrassment in the workplace, LET ALONE women.
Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated.
This company ruined my reputation (and still tries to) and
I am a single mother of 3 kids.
