Am I a victim of sexual discrimination?

I am a 30 year old female....i work in a manufactoring plant where i live...I have been there for almost 4 years...i started out inspecting and packing our product....then shortly there after i was moved up to a machine operator...i worked as an operator for approximately 1 1/2 years and we had a new postion become available...more pay and more responsibility....it was called "An Assistant Teamn Leader"...there were 4 openings...i was the only female to get one of the positions the other 3 were males...duties for that job consisted of...filling in for my team leader in his absents...doing color changes..paper work...leading the shift which consisted of 8 employees...which were 4 machine operators..1 packer inspector...1 lab technician..1 material handler..and 1 die man...i did this job whenever my team leader was out..i ran the shift...well, in may of
2,000...my team leader quit...so i was temporally put into his position..i had only 2 weeks of major training before i was officially named the assistant team leader for my shift...and only filled in for him off and on for about 4 months so i was not very experienced at all....but at the end of may in 2,000...they posted a job opening for a team leaders position.(which was his job)...so i put in for the job...myself and the guy that took my place as an assistant team leader ....he had no experience or seniorety(spelling)....well like i said there were only 2 of us that put in for the job....but the plant manager and my supervisor went to older and more experienced employees..all who had previously been in a team leaders position...and...all of whom were male...and asked them if they wanted the position...and all of them turned it down....NOW..in my eyes...if those other employees would have wanted the position...they would have signed up for it...so that leaves me to believe that the upper management didnt want me to have it....and i feel its because i am a woman...my boyfriend has worked at this same company for almost 17 years...and tells me there has never been a female in a team leaders position...until me....now there are other reason i feel i am being discriminated against....the management knew when they put me in this position...that i didnt have much experience, they told me that would come in time..and trouble shooting skills and communication skills and leadership skills would all come in time with the more experience i get...well its been almost a year since i have been in the position.....and i am still haveing alot of trouble with my trouble shooting skills...because what i have learned so far has been on my own...no one has trained me....i have learned by either asking someone more experienced ( when i am working the daylight shift)...or just jumping in and trying something that i think will help...and sometimes i get to the point where i cant do anything else..because i dont know what else to do...so i shut that position off..well they started off telling me that they would rather have the downtime than have the high waste that is run from the prolonged trouble shooting side of the job....then when i do that ,,i get in trouble for the down time....then there are other issues...we have something that is called a housekeeping report..the team leaders come in a half hour early to do this ...well no one had been doing them....emails were sent out to all team leaders informing us that this was not an option..it is mandatory..so i started filling them out...but the other team leaders wouldnt sign them...so finally 2 weeks ago..i quit doing them alltogether...well guess who they wanted to reprimand on the issue...you guessed it..ME....we also have whats called a reject sheet...that is where the inspectors write up the things that is off quality...supervisors look at these sheets each day...well of course i have gotten taken into his office numerous times because of the off quality on my shift...even though the more experienced team leader on the shift before mine couldnt do anything about the off quality i got reprimanded for what was run on my shift...im the one with the least experience and im getting all the reprimands...i just dont understand why...no one is bothering to help me along...offering advise or anything helpful....WHY??..And last but not least....we (the team leaders) share an office..while our respective shifts are working...one morning...i was coming into work on the day shift...walked into the office right behind my supervisor...he never spoke good morning to me...the team leader from the night shift was also in there he spoke to him...then in behind me came my assistant team leader...my supervisor looked right past me and said "morning mr.duffy"..ok now how would that make you feel in a room full of superior males and you being the only female in the room and being invisible?..this goes on all the time...i work on the machines that we run down there all day everyday that im scheduled to work...i never get a thumbs up or good job ...or a pat on the back...but my assistant and i were sharing responsiblities one day and he had a machine that only had 2 positions running on it..and he got the machine set up and running and i had finished the one beside his...he got the thumbs up and i didnt even get a look of encouragement...now can someone please answer my question ...am i a victim of ongoing sexual discrimination>> there is alot more i could tell you but i think i have typed enough now...but if anyone is interested in responding to me or want to hear of more episodes...please...please email me...i need to know..i need this job in the worst way..because i am a single mother of 2 and cant afford to quit and i do make very good money..(even though im not at top team leader pay after almost a year of officially being the team leader..and i got the team leader pay when i was just a fill in)so what is the difference now??.....please help me ..do i have a case for sexual discrimination????????
