bullies and totally unprofessional co-workers

for numerous years i have worked for a police department in the position of civilian dispatcher assistant. During this past 2 to 3 years i have had to endure numerous humiliations, degrading remarks from fairly new civilian dispatcher assistants and dispatchers who could care less about the citizens who call requesting assistance. On top of all of this, now when spanish speaking citizens who can speak english with some degree of accent who call for police assistance are placed on hold to wait until i can picked up the line and speak to them. i am able to speak both languages spanish/english. when i asked my co-workers why this caller was placed on hold until i could attend to it thinking that the individual is not able to speak english, the answer that i received from this group of ignorant, unprofessional co-workers is "i though that it would be better if he spoked to you in his or her native language" on top of all of this that i have to deal with, then comes the verbal abuse against myself and a great number of senior employees. well, i have complaint to my immediate supervisors which my complaints have gone unheard and unresolved. now, i have had enough of it and have lodge a complaint with internal affairs to have this employees held accountable for their actions. No one should have to be treated and degraded in any type of way. The rest of the other employees that are also being subjected to such an abuse are extremely afraid of retaliation, well i am not. under not circumstances would i continue to be subjected to such treatment because as a human being, i deserve to be treated with respect and common courtesy.
