I worked for this company for 10 years. I ate, slept, and lived this company. Last year I got sick, and had been out for a few months. I came back to work and after 4 to 6 months, from the stress and other factors, I replased. I have been off work since January. I worked part time per their request and then they tell me, my position was not part time, so they put me on full time disability. The day i was going to see the doctor, I got a letter from my job. Telling me that i was being terminated and there were no open positions for me. My tentative return date was the following week. They just tried to take all my medical and other benefits from me. I called and now I am still on disability, and still have my medical, but all my other benefits: retirement, 401k, stocks, are now not being paid into. So, this company just not only took away what I had worked for, but put me in a position that put me into shock. Being 45, you can see where I freaked out. What am i going to do now? They let all these years just go, and let me go, because I was sick. Don't let a company take you the way it took me. Don't give them your all, because at the end, they don't care. The bottom line, work must get done, even if that means replacing you with a younger worker for less pay. They make out, you loose. I just can't believe they did this to me. And then say, that they thought that I wouldn't have to worry about work. Sure, How about surviving.
