I worked for a very large corporation with a international union. I was sexually harassed, threatened with my life, and experienced a very "hostile" work area, by three harassers. The employer and union conspired daily to protect my harassers because they were males and twenty year men. I would have to write a book to tell you what happened before, during, and after my law suit. I am now living with "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder." The Nut's and Slut's defense that the employer lawyers are allowed to do is appalling! My employer got to use three psychiatrist against me to distroy my life. The first one went against the federal court judges orders and did not comply with her orders while I was to take their awful MMPI test. A couple of weeks later I had to return to his office to do a six hour interview. I was allowed to tape the interview and that was all. The psychiatrist and attorneys representing the defendant had a court reporter there to type down every personal thing that I was to say. Needless to say I walked out and later the psychiarist was thrown out of the lawsuit by the federal court judge. The defendants were able to get another one and we had a fifty minute taped interview. This (child psychiatrist) later dismissed her self as I understand for health reasons. Then the defendants through a lot of motions filed with the court was allowed to retain another psychiatrist which never meet me and he diagnosed me with "Somination Disorder." What a joke! All three of these psychiatrist are teaching professors a a university in my state! I feel strongly that that is totally unethical. We have to ban together and tell Congress that anough is anough! We have to stop these employers from distroying our lives just because we speak out for our rights.
