Bullies in the Workplace

I worked for the Department of the Board of Equalization in the
State of California. I have never experienced or witnessed
such atrocities like the ones that the management commits
against their employees.
I was disciplined, driven out of my job, and labeled with a
disability. All because I complained about the noise in my
office when I was trying to get my work done. The "in-group"
enjoyed partaking in partying type behavior which involved
loud radio playing and yelling across the partitions.
I've since obtained other employment where I have received
excellent performance reviews and I get along with my co-
workers.
The management there labeled me with a disability called
"Too sensitive to the noise" syndrome and moved me to a job
where I was not allowed to work with anyone else. It was
the most demoralizing and humiliating experience I have ever
been through. Not only that but interviews were conducted
with all of my coworkers asking them what problems they had
working with me. I was never told what the problems were nor
given a chance to correct them.
I'd like to hear from anyone else who has suffered at the
hands of the Board of Equalization management. It's time to speak
out and stand up to these bullies.
The state union (CSEA) told me that BOE has the worst history
of poor treatment of employees. Most of their victims are
women or the disabled. Anyone they think is too afraid or
weak to stand up to them.
It's time to say "NO" to bullying!
