I actually felt guilty for complaining about my boss
sexually harassing me. I regreted the day I told anyone
and blamed myself for all this mess. But the truth is,
I'm not the one who walked into the office and undressed.
I'm not the one who started any of this mess. I'm past the guilt and
embarassment and on to the pissed off stage. I filed this complaint
with a Director of my company 3 months ago and until now had
heard nothing back from them. Now however, the pig is making
threats to me and my husband (who also works for the company
directly underneath this man/pig). And since we complained about
the threats, the company is making it very clear that they are
going to stand up for the pig (who, incidentally, was recently investigated
for 3 other sexual harassment complaints) and run both my husband and myself off.
The investigation they are conducting has nothing to do with
the fact that this man has asked my husband to trade a night in bed
with me for a day off, or took his clothes off in front of me
while taunting me with sexual remarks, or threatened us after
he learned of the complaint. The are investigating ME and my husband.
They are denying any complaints of sexual harassment at all. What
balls! (so to speak!)
We filed a complaint with the EEOC today which made us feel a little
better, but not much. I have no idea what to expect next. But
I do know that this is the beginning of a long, bumpy ride -
the kind that make you sick to your stomach. I can't figure
out if I more hurt, embarrased, scared, or mad.
Does anyone know what comes next? Is the EEOC the answer to my prayers?
Is this fight really worth it? or will I be fired and the pig
promoted anyway? I'd love to hear from anyone with advise, experience,
suggestions, ideas, or even just a sympathic shoulder.
