Car Buying

WOMEN BUYERS BEWARE!!!  This is to let all women out there know of unbusiness like practices
 of Ray Norton Auto Center on Bemiss and Connell in Valdosta, GA.  I went  looking at a 94 
Ford Ranger Extended Cab truck.  The guy who was there also looking was 
given the keys.  I was escorted out.  I was also told I would probably not like the colour.  
I pointed out three problems with the vehicle.  1)Spare Tire worn.  I could see the wear bar 
even with the tread.  I was told, rather smart alecky that the spare 
was not needed.  To which I asked then what was the purpose of it.  I was told that it 
was for balance to weigh the back end down while driving.  I also pointed out that the back 
tires has excessive wear on their outer edges.  These tires were on front then rotated to the 
back.  This also indicates a problem with the alignment, probably toe.  I was told that my 
diagnosis was wrong and that it was only due to a tire NON rotation.  I could have pointed out
 to him that the front tires had a start of a feathered edge but why cast pearls before swine. 
 Another interesting point is that the cost was $8400 Saturday but $8950 on Monday.  What 
they don't know, and probably would not believe, is that I have ten years experience as a 
vehicle mechanic, 13 if you include the three years I had of auto mechanics in school.
