Women Friendly Workplace Campaign Speakout

Corporate America

I spent nine years working my way through thhe corporate
food chain. While there was the pretext of "valuing
diversity" it was a sham. In reality, the ol' boys got the
perks and the pay. The women got to work harder for less.

We also got harassed. On many occasions, I suffered through
professional discussion when my superviser spoke into my
chest, instead of looking me in the eye. On other occasions
a security director propositioned me during an investigation
into my security procedures. Finally, another corporate
official used to greet me by rubbing his finger into my palm
as we shook hands. He also talked to my breasts.

The sad thing is that my company was light-years ahead of
other corporations and industries. Our only hope is to take
action collectively as women. The Women-Friendly Workplace
project is a great opportunity to make our money work for
us. I hope every woman will sign-on and I thsnk NOW for
taking on the corporate giants.
