U.S. Postal Service

Why Should You Protest the Post Office?

More Information:

  • NOW Names U.S. Postal Service a Merchant of Shame (12/00)
  • Stamp Out Workplace Harassment and Discrimination (9/00)
  • NOW has named the United States Postal Service (USPS) a Merchant of Shame. While postal workers make up less than a third of the federal workforce, they file half of the federal complaints at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The USPS has not satisfactorily addressed these complaints, and many employees report that they have faced retaliation for charging the USPS with sexual harassment, sex and race discrimination, wrongful termination and even rape. NOW challenges the USPS to deliver a Women-Friendly Workplace!

    What You Can Do:

  • Send a women-friendly holiday e-greeting to your friends and family
  • Sign NOW's petition to the U.S. Postal Service Learn More About the Post Office and NOW's Women-Friendly Workplace and Campus Campaign:
  • Fact Sheet on Discrimination at the U.S. Post Office
  • NOW's Women-Friendly Workplace and Campus Campaign

Send an E-Greeting to Help "Stamp Out Discrimination" at the Post Office!
