Dear Campus Activist:

Leaders from the nation's largest women's rights organization will be participating in a 1999 campus speaking tour, and we are interested in including your school. Along with NOW's three vice presidents, I will be traveling to campuses in early 1999 to discuss the urgent issues facing women's rights supporters.

The campus tour is also designed to elevate awareness and activism to fight homophobia, and to build toward a National Lesbian Rights Summit, a feminist strategy session which will be hosted by NOW April 23-25, 1999 in Washington, DC. The NOW National Action Center is in full swing preparing for this Summit, and we need your help to spread the word.

As we approach the end of the Twentieth Century, we know that the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community is under particular attack. We are organizing the Summit to bring together lesbians and allies to discuss current challenges and future strategies, and we would value your participation.

As part of a visit to your campus, we would also like to present an skills-building  workshop. The workshop will specifically address organizing a delegation for the Lesbian Rights Summit.
