TAKE ACTION TO STOP THE ABUSE OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN AFGHANISTAN!

Update
Unocal has withdrawn from the pipeline project in Afghanistan.  According to Unocal, "Unocal is not involved in Afghanistan.  At one time we were a member of a consortium considering a pipeline between Turkmenistan and Pakistan through Afghanistan.  However, Unocal officially withdrew from that consortium in December 1998.  Our company has no role in developing or funding that project.  Check out the Unocal web site if you want to read the complete text of the statement we issued at the time we withdrew from the project.  Go to: http://www.unocal.com/uclnews/98news/centgas.htm
