Since the murder of Dr. George Tiller in May, opponents of women's reproductive rights have intensified their focus on Dr. LeRoy Carhart. Operation Rescue is determined to close down Dr. Carhart's Nebraska clinic and to prevent him from opening a facility in Kansas to replace Dr. Tiller's now-closed clinic. Dr. Carhart risks his life every day in order to help women in need, including those whose lives depend on obtaining late-term abortions.
